When the country of Italy sought to brand itself as an innovative business destination as well as a tourist mecca, Landor Paris turned to Carl and his unique skillsets for this incredible opportunity.

The design exploration addresses this challenge by focusing on Italy’s diversity, its unique position in the world and its persona as a global center of culture.

With a nod to centuries of creativity and innovation, the extended design depicts an abstract Pagliacci as an “it” in Italian Constructivist style, showcasing a fluid, living mark which shifts and animates across a variety of media.
